The New York State DMV requires that proof of insurance coverage is maintained throughout the registration period so in order to cancel your policy you would need to provide one of the following to our email: help@inshur.com.
- If you are surrendering your TLC plates to the DMV, please provide the FS-6T receipt provided by the DMV.
- If you have switched to a different insurance carrier, please provide a copy of your new for-hire insurance (FH1) for the same vehicle (VIN).
We will process your cancellation from the date we receive the requested documentation and issue any return premium within 2 to 3 weeks. You may also be required to electronically sign a cancellation request form.
